Viva Spanish and Latin American Film Festival : Part 2
More Viva coverage up now on New Empress:
Firstly there is The Invisible Eye. a slow burning thriller set in a strictly run school during the final years of Argentina’s military dictatorship.
Secondly there is Even the Rain, a powerful drama about a passionate filmmaker seeking recreate the harsh treatment of native Indians by Spanish conquistadors many centuries ago. This filming of this movie is itself set against the backdrop of modern day environmental concerns for Bolivian Indians.
