Viva Spanish and Latin American Film Festival
This year I’m covering the always enjoyable Viva Spanish and Latin American Film Festival at Cornerhouse cinema in Manchester for the good people at New Empress Magazine.
Now in its 18th year, there’s always a great range of movies on show and you can browse the full schedule here: Cornerhouse – Viva
My first review was charming feel-good comedy Cousinhood which saw three cousins return to their childhood home in order to try and help one of them forget being left at the alter: Primos (Cousinhood)
Second up was a touching comedy drama focusing on the strong friendships shared between a travelling theatre group in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War: Pajaros de Papel (Paper Planes)
